What is a Resilience Guide?
Being a Resilience Guide is like being a trail guide on an outdoor hiking adventure.
(...really, I just love hiking and the metaphor worked....)
Trail guides are experts at knowing what to look for when assessing their surroundings, and what to do if things go sideways. But they’re also deeply invested in building your skills along the way, so you're soon ready to confidently head off on your own adventures.
Me in my favorite place to hike: Grand Teton National Park
As with guides on the hiking trail, my approach to working with clients involves a combination of extensive listening, expert guidance and practical preparation to build your resilience to the challenges you'll face along your path.
I’ll ask you to think about where you are, and where you’d like to go.
I’ll teach you what to look for along the path, and techniques for getting out of tight binds.
I’ll provide a compass and a map, and teach you how to orient yourself.
I’ll help you figure out which tools you need in your backpack, and how to use them to effectively navigate the trail.
Whether I’m giving an early childhood training presentation, consulting with small non-profit organizations on digital engagement, or helping hone your skills in creative and educational video-making, my goal is simple.
At the end of our time together, I want to step back and proudly watch you blaze the trail ahead, full of knowledge, skills, and an eager spring in your step.
